Welcome to Fire Fox Jewellery. Hi my name is Julie Ann, I'm a contemporary jewellery artist based in the UK.

I was a painter and decorator for 17 years after being diagnosed with arthritis in my hips. I had to re-evaluate my career. I studied jewellery and contemporary craft design HND and BA Hons Creative Media and Visual Communication. Where I found a new passion for artistic and experimental jewellery. Inspired by the world around me, the colourful street art and the beautiful nature of Manchester that is nestled in an industrial, ever changing city. Scaffolding, high rise buildings, bridges, motorways, covering a colourful life of diverse, art culture. I'm obsessed with colour and texture and how colour can invoke different emotions. 

I love the chaos and freedom of expression abstract art gives me. My mind is overcharged and races with ideas, I pour all my emotions into my designs creating one of a kind wearable art that can be both appreciated by the wearer and the viewer. Working with precious and semi-precious metals and stones. I experiment with multimedia including; resins, enamel, threads, acrylic paint to create fresh and innovative one of a kind statement pieces.
